September 6-26, 1857

The 6th: "We all started to graveyard-met J. (John)Heart(Hart) coming to our 
house-he went back with us-then he came home with us".

The 7th: "me & Lucy went to Wm. Posey's all night- (the?) (then?)..".

The 8th: "John Posey went with me to Isabella the County cite of Worth Co.-came 
back to Posey all night-E. Hall was killed at Warwick cut yestoday".

The 9th: "Came home in eve-I went to the berriing of Ha.-dry and clear wether".

The 10th: "me & Whitfield went to Lewis' store & to Mr. Bohannen's-came home-
this day 20 years ago my mother dide".

The 12th: "I went to mill & to Ft. Early to meeting-came home-J. Hart came".

The 13th: "me & sister E. went to meet(ing) Ft. E.-came home-then we all three-
(E. L. & me)-[went] to see his daughter that was-[above line: "sick"]'.

The 14th: "In the eve I went to Whihitfields-[Whitfields]-Martha & George came 
home with me".

The 15th: "Sister E. & John Hart married-(1 month since Pa dide)".

The 16th: "I left for to come to Henry Co.-(with a dog for Mr. 1's)-all night 
above Montzuma at Onsley's".

The 17th: "I came one mile above Noxville at Widow George('s)".

The 18th: "I came 9 miles above Forsithe-J. Skinner's".

The 19th: "I left to try to get to Sharon by meeting-I got there about 12 Ocl.-
I went home with Mr. 1 all night".

The 20th: "I went to meeting-home with L. H. T. all night".

The 21st: "I came to meet(ing)-by S. T.s-home with Mr. 1 in eve-we went to 
Worthville-saw the Dr.-came home in (in)the night".

The 22nd: "Mr. 1 & myself went hunting-then to meet(ing)-came back all eve". 

The 23rd: "We went again-came back-in eve we went to T. (Thomas?)Sharps*-came 
back".

The 24th: "In eve I went to Dr. Bryans all night-[small script: "road 
with ? ? ?"]".

The 25th: "We went to a Barbacue [in] Jackson-came home all nig(ht)".

The 26th: "I went round with him again-came home-in eve I went to my place all 
night-or [to] Henry B. Skinners". [beneath line: "James B. Knowles August 11th 
1858"]
