KNOWLES, 1852-1858 (page 133 of 137) September 27 to October 12, 1857 The 27th: "I went to Mr. 1's-they was all gon from home-I came back to Bill S. [Skinner's?]-and me & him went to S. T.s-came back-then I again went to Mr. 1's- not yet returned-then to Wm. H. B.'s (Bryans)-stade all night". The 28th:"I came to Mr. 1's-in eve we went to Snaping Shol(es?)-came back- Barton here all night". The 29th: "we went hunting-came back-I remained here all day and all night". The 30th: "I went to store-[above line: "Worthville"]-then to Dr. B.'s all night". October 1st: "..I went to Gray with the Dr.-came back to J. Stroud's-then back to Widow William(son's?)-killed a beef-came home-all night & c.". The 2nd: "I went to Mr. 1's-ate dinner & expected him to go to with me to Snapping Sholes-but he would not-so we went to Tom Thrashers-came back by J. Bryans-as he was sick-home all ni(ght)". The 3rd: "I wanted him to go with me to Snapp. Sh.-I went-came back-but never saw him- went to store-then to J. Harper's-went back to Mr. 1's-never saw him- then I went to T. H. Bryans all night". The 4th: "Me & T. H. Bryans came or went to J. Bryans-came back all day-in eve went to church grave yard-in eve came to Mr. 1's all night". The 5th: "We went to Bersheba-then I went to see Mr. Bry(ans)-came back-went to Mr. 1.'s-ate dinner-he came to store with me-I left came to Worthville-voted(?)- came to Dr. B.". [between lines: "I asked Mr. 1 to write to me-he said he would- but did not return all m(mine?)"] The 6th: "To Jackson-back to store-to [R. J.?] Harpers all night". The 7th: "came to store-saw Dr. B.-about 10 Ocl. I left to go dow(n) the country-all night at Mr. Toney's near Forsithe". The 8th: "to Dr. Cheeve's in Macon Co. Ga". The 9th: "To Mr. Redins one mile below Drayton in Dooly Co.". The 10th: "I arrived home at 11 Ocl. A.M.". The 11th: "In eve me & George went to Dr. Sincler's the Ordinary-[of Worth Co.]- all night [as] he is not at home".
