Henry Co., Georgia

To any Judge, Justice of the Inferior Court, Justice of the Peace, or Minister 
of the Gospel, you are hereby authorized to join Joseph Rawls and Nancy Ann 
Bernhard in the Holy State of Matrimony according to the Constitution and Laws 
of the State and for do doing this shall be your sufficent license.

Given under my hand and seal the 30th day of November 1847.

matrimony by me this 2nd day of December 1847

Additional Comments:

Joseph was the son of Jacob Rall/Rawls, Jr. and Elizabeth Gartman.
He was born about 1821 in Lexington District, South Carolina.  Joseph died June 
5, 1852 in Coweta Co., Georgia.  He is buried at Mount Pilgrim Lutheran 
Cemetery in Haralson, Coweta Co., Georgia.

Nancy was the daughter of Jacob Bernhard and Esther Lites.  She was born about 
1831 in Georgia.

Joseph and Nancy were the parents of:
Walter T. Rawls born before July 15, 1848 in Georgia
Luther Whitfield Rawls born before May 2, 1852

Walter and Luther were baptized at Mount Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Haralson, 
Coweta Co., Georgia.
