BROWN-AMIS
     On last Thursday evening at the beautiful home of the bride’s parents on 
Griffin St., Miss Alice Brown was united in marriage to Mr. Daniel Amis, of 
Atlanta.
     The lovely home was a bower of beauty with its exquisite floral 
decorations of green potted plants and dainty pink sweet peas. The ceremony was 
performed in the living room before an improvised altar of palms, ferns and 
baskets of pink carnations. There were no attendants. The bride and groom 
entered the room to the strains of Lohengrins wedding march played by Mrs. Hugh 
Price and were met at the altar by Rev. Guy Atkinson who performed the ceremony.
     The bride was lovely in a tan ensemble with hat and accessories to match 
and carried a bouquet of pink roses and valley lilies.
     Miss Brown is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. 
N. Brown and a popular member of the younger set whose charm of manner and 
sweetness of disposition have won for her scores of friends throughout the 
state.
     Mr. Amis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Amis and is a young business man 
of sterling qualities. After the reception the young people left for Atlanta, 
where they will make their home.
     The out of town guests were, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Nichols, Mrs. Lila 
Copeland, Dr. H. J. Copeland and Messrs. Otis and Arthur Blake, of Griffin, 
Messrs Strickland and Crouch, of Titusville, Florida, Miss Katie Sue Whitehead, 
of Atlanta, Miss Virginia Norton, of Cornelia, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Russell, of 
Atlanta, Dr. and Mrs. G. H. Boyd, of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Price, of 
Locust Grove.
