Mitchum Jr. which was solemnized Sunday Dec. 23rd at Four o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Edwards, of Hampton. Rev. S. D. Cherry was the officiating minister using the impressive ring ceremony. The room was beautifully decorated with Southern Smilax, fern and cut flowers and was softly lighted by pink unshaded candles. To the strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, rendered by Miss Berniece Lawrence, the groom and his best man Mr. Eddie Spear North and the bride with her maid of honor Miss Lena Edwards, entered the room. During the ceremony, “To the Wild Rose” was softly played by Miss Lawrence. The bride was beautiful in a blue satin gown with accessories of gray, and carried a bouquet of brides roses showered with lilies of the valley, while the maid of honor was beautiful in a gown of Harding blue silk crepe carrying a bouquet of pink rose buds. Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchum left for a short wedding trip, after which they will be at home to their friends in Hampton, Ga.
