Rev. J. H. Thrailkill, pastor of Stockbridge group of Methodist churches, performed the ceremony in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Lady Zue McWilliams sang, “O Promise Me,” accompanied by Miss Minnie Bell Mann. To the strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, entered little Evelyn Mann and Louise Richardson, dressed in pink and green, carrying baskets tied with bows of green and pink tulle and forming an aisle and scattering roses. Next entered Rev. Thrailkill, the groom and best man, Mr. Howard Stansell, followed. Proceeding the bride came Master J. W. Knight, Jr. ring-bearer, carrying the ring in a pink rose. The bride entered with her maid of honor, Miss Helen Clark, who was gowned in pink crepe de chine and carrying pink roses. The bride wore a handsome suit of dark blue charmeen and hat to match. She carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses and lilies of the valley. The house was decorated with smilax, pink roses and geraniums. Throughout the rooms pink unshaded candles were burning. In the living room, an improvised altar was draped with smilax interbased with pink roses. Ferns and candelabra holding pink tapers, placed on tall pedestals with a basket tied with pink and green ____ holding pink roses. Smilax formed a fringe around the walls and on the mantle and piano were baskets of pink roses and candlesticks holding pink tapers. Mrs. Jackson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Brannan and is very popular not only in Stockbridge but though Henry County and the state. Mr. Jackson is a splendid young business man, of Atlanta, and is the son of Mrs. F. M. Jackson, of McDonough, he has a host of friends in McDonough and elsewhere who wish for him and his bride much happiness. Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom left for Atlanta, where they will be at home in Oakland city. The out of town guest were, Mrs. F. M. Jackson, Misses Clara and Bertha Jackson, Mr. J. T. Ramie, Mr. Frank Fields, Mr. and Mrs. Adiel Elliott, Mr. and Mrs. John Knight and children, Misses Mary and Sarah Brannan, Messrs. Ernest Brannan, George Kimbell, Byron Mathews, Howard Stansell, all of McDonough. Mrs. J. D. Ward, Mr. Floyd Elliott, Mr. Jack Ward, of Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Reeves of Rex.
