H. Hankinson, when Mr. John G. Pullin and Miss Nancy Gurr were united in marriage. The wedding ceremony was performed at high noon by Rev. J. A. Partridge, assisted by Dr. W. W. Arnold. The ceremony was performed before an improvised altar of ferns and white carnations lighted by a multitude of cathedral candles. Mrs. Wyman Sloan gave a beautiful rendition of “Until,” which gradually melted into the strains of “Mendelssohn’s Wedding March,” Mrs. A. M. George, as matron of honor and Miss Jean George the ring-bearer, preceded the bride, who entered on the arm of Mr. R. H. Hankinson. Mr. Pullin was attended by his brother, Mr. Wade Pullin. Those present at the ceremony were the immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The home was beautifully decorated with white ______ and southern smilax which made it a pleasing background for an exquisite luncheon with which Mrs. R. H. Hankinson and Mrs. a. M. George complimented the bride and the groom, and which was served immediately after the ceremony. The wedding party left at once after the luncheon on their bridal tour through the East. Miss Gurr is the daughter of Mrs. Ada Gurr of Dawson, Ga., and has won a host of friends during the past year while serving as a representative of the State Agriculture College in Extension work. During this time Miss Gurr has had her residence in McDonough. Mr. Pullin is cashier of the Bank of Henry County, and no young man in this county is more widely known or more highly regarded. The many friends of the popular young couple wish them a long and happy wedded life.
