D. JAMES and Miss PAULINE NEWMAN were most happily united in marriage, at the splendid home of the bride’s parents in Wellston, Houston County, at noon yesterday, and came directly to McDonough. An elegant reception was tendered them last evening at the home of the groom’s mother, where they were met and warmly welcomed by a number of friends. Bright and rosy indeed are the prospects ahead of the young couple, as they start life’s journey under glowing and suspicious skies. The bride is a member of one of Georgia’s finest families, and is truly lovable and excellent young lady. Wiley is an old McDonough boy who occupies a most creditable position in life, and as he was a former attaché of this office under it present head, THE WEEKLY, is especially pleased to congratulate him and heartily joins their numerous friends in wishing for them all the happiness and good fortune that can possibly come to him and his. They go from McDonough to reside in Charlotte, N. C., where Mr. James occupies a lucrative position as one of the finest operators in the service of the Western Union Co.
