Will of Samuel Skelton 30 Jun 1874 Henry County, GA SAMUEL B. SKELTON State of Georgia, Henry, June 30 in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy four, in the name of God, Amen. I Samuel B. Skelton of the county of Henry and State of Georgia, Henry, of sound and disposing mind and memory and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs while I have strength so to do, make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made, and first commend my soul to God who gave it, and my body to be buried by the side of my son Charles Skelton at Bethel Church, Henry County Ga, and my worldly estate I dispose of as follows, first my wife Elizabeth Skelton I give at my death all of my property both real and personal for her to have and manage as she sees proper. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and seventy four. /s/ Samuel B. Skelton The above instrument consisting of one and a half sheets was now here subscribed by Samuel B. Skelton the testator in the presence of each of us, and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament and we at his request signed our names hereto as attesting witnesses.
