Johnson Jones Davis Cemetery Inscriptions Houston County, GA Johnson-Jones-Davis Cemetery This is a small family cemetery, near where my Grgr grandparents had a farm in Houston Co circa 1850. The cemetery is completely surrounded by groves of peaches on three sides and pecans on another. There is an overgrown area of Briars and thistles and woods, about 2/3 of a mile from Hwy 41. Underneath a large old Cedar, there were several graves and very few headstones, we copied all the headstones we could find. George Johnson 1871-1955 William Davis 1870-1930 W.F. Jones 1885 - Oct 1931 Infant of James and Pearl Davis - date unreadable Clay Jones Ella J Jones Several other graves & sinks with no markers, due to the overgrowth of weeds it was hard to count. Addendum 25 Feb 1999: Just a note to add that the Barker Twins are buried in the Johnson Cemetery off Hwy. 41. They are buried in a single grave underneath the cedar tree. They are the son and daughter of Joe P. Barker and Mary Lizzie Davis Barker. The twins died at birth or shortly after. These are my grandparents.
