The church resolved to move the constitution of the church from Sandridge to the new church house at Houston Factory. Note: This concludes the minutes as Sandridge Baptist Church. On 21 Jan 1861, the opening minutes as Houston Factory Baptist Church tells of the merger with Smyrna Baptist Church and lists names of those transferred from Smyrna. The Colored portion of the church at Sandridge is last mentioned in the minutes of 20 Aug 1865, when a number of new members and their owners are listed. Sometime after that the old church building at Sandridge was donated to the colored members who moved the building from Wilna to the Sand Bed community and reorganized as the San Bed Baptist Church.
