Indenture between James Dean and Richard Smith 22 Oct 1825 Houston Co, GA 22 October 1825 Deed Bk. B, pg. 219 State of Georgia} This indenture made this twenty second day of October in Houston County } the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five, and in the forth ninth year of the Independance of the United States of America between James Dean of the county of Houston and state aforesaid of the one part, and Richard Smith of the County of Twiggs and state aforesaid of the other part. Both of the state aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said James Dean for and in consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Richard Smith at and before the signing sealing and delivery of these presents the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold alieved conveyed and confirmed unto the aforesaid Richard Smith one half of lot or tract of land situiate lying and being in the county of Houston and in the ninth (9th) district of said county containing by estimation one hundred one and one fourth acres, be the same more or less including one half of the Mills and improvements, thereunto belonging which said tract or lot of land is known and distinguished by in the plan of said district by the number twenty nine (29) to have and to hold all and singular the rights members and appertainances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining with the remainder and remainders reversion and reversions rents issues and profits to the said Richard Smith his heirs executors anministrators and assigns against the said James Dean, his heirs executors administrators and assigns and all and every other person or persons whatsoever in fee simple in witness whereof the said James Dean hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seale the day and year forth above written signed sealed and delivered in the presents of us: Edw.
