Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, in hand paid, at and before the signing, sealing and delivery of these present the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, and sold unto the said Bryan Bailey his heirs and assigns all that tract of parcel of ground, lying and being in the Eighth District of said County and being the North East Corner of Lot number fifty-one adjoining to number forth six, containing a level piece of ground supposed to be thirty acres more or less the line to extend to the bank of the hill on the western side, on the southern side as far as the level ground extends, and on the Easter side to the line of forty six and on the northern side to number fifty two. And the said Bryan Bailey is to have and to hold the said bargained premises forever in fee simple and the said Quinncy Powell doth warrant and defend the right and the said land against himself his heirs and assigns in testimony whereof the said Quinncy Powell hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal. Quinncy Powell Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of Clement Woodall, James Holdernes Houston Co Before me Nathan Rowland, a Justice of the Peace in and for said county personally came James Holdernes who being duly sword deposeth and sayeth that he saw Quinncy Powell sign, seal and deliver the within deed for purposes therein named and that he also saw Clement Woodall did the same as a witness and that he did so likewise, sworn to and subscribed before me.
