Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars, in hand paid, at and before the signing, sealing and delivery of these present the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, and sold unto the said John Bryan his heirs and assigns two following tracts or parts of tracts of land, knwon and distinguished as follows: to Wit all that part of number forty six , lying north of Spring Creek in the Eight district of said county of Houston, containing one hundred acres of land more or less and also a certain parcel or portion of land lying on lot number fifty one containing thrity acres more or less in the district and county aforesaid, having such bounds as herein after described to wit: the line to commence in the East corner of said lot and in a due west course, on the original land line between numbers fifty one and fifty two to a light wood stake in the bluff and from thence a southwest direction or nearly so, to bluff to be the lin,e to a lifhtwood stake and from thence somewhat a south cast course, following the blaze on the trees made this day for a land line until it reaches the land line between numbers fifty one and forth six and the said John Bryan, his heirs, administrators and assigns is to have and to hold the said bargained premises forever in fee simple and the said Bryan Bailey doth warrant and defend the right and the said land against himself his heirs and assigns in testimony whereof the said Bryan Bailey hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal. Bryan Bailey In presence of : John Giles James Holderness Houston Co Before me Nathan Rowland, a Justice of the Peace in and for said county personally came James Holdernes who being duly sword deposeth and sayeth that he saw Bryan Bailey sign, seal and deliver the within deed for purposes therein named and that he also saw John Giles did the same as a witness and that he did so likewise, sworn to and subscribed before me.
