This Indenture made the third day of January in the year of Our Lord, One 
Thousand, Eight Hundred & Forty three, between B. B. Wilkinson of the county of 
Houston of the one part and Job W. Smith of the other part, of the State and 
County above written.  Witeseth that the said B. B. Wilkinson for and in 
consideration of the sum of One Thousand Dollars in hand, paid at & before the 
sealing & delivery of These Presents, the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed & comfirmed and 
by These Presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey & confirm unto the 
said Job W. Smith his heirs and assigns all that Lot of Land situate, lying and 
being in the county of Houston, in said State, known and distinguished in The 
Peat of said county, as Number One Hundred and Twenty Three (123) in the 
Thirteenth (13) District.  To have and to hold the said Lot of Land, with all 
and singular the rights, members, privileges & appartences.  Thereunto 
appentaining, unto the said Job W. Smith, his heirs, Executors, Administrators 
& asigns, in fee simple.  And the said B. B. Wilkinson his heirs, executors, 
Administrators & assigns will warrant and defend right & title thereof, from 
the Lawful claim of any person, or persons, whosoever.  In witness whereof The 
said B. B. Wilkinson hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, The day 
and year above written.
