The meeting promises to be unusually interesting and profitable one. Deal Jackson, the Doughtrey County negro widely known as “Georgia’s First Bale Man” has promised to come and tell the farmers how he has managed to “get there” with the first bale for so many years. Hon. T.G. Hudson and other prominent white men have consented to address the meeting. Representative Hobbs left Monday for Atlanta to attend the session of the legislature. Thursday’s Constitution contained a good photo of the doctor. In about ten days peaches will be mighty scarce in this section.
