     On last Saturday Mr. E. O. Buff, one of our oldest and most respected 
citizens breathed his last at his home.  Mr. Buff has lived among us for about 
fiteen years; but was known by many before he came among us to live.  Mr. Buff 
leaves a wife, and a little girl, Eddil Belle, besides many friends to mourn 
his loss.  His remains were interred in cemetery at Hawkinsville Sunday.  The 
bereaved have many sympathizing friends.

E. O. Buff was born ca 1828 in SC, the son of David and Sarah (Smith) Buff.  
He m. 1) Mary Eliza Grace 12 Nov. 1846 in Houston Co. and 2) Penny Pierce 10 
August 1856 in Houston Co.
