Sunday night a bloody tragedy took place near Henderson, in Houston County.  
Mattie Barron and Lucy King, had a quarrel about their sweetheart.  Marietta 
Jones stepped up and stabbed Lucy to the heart, from which she died almost 
immediately.  All of them are Negroes and Marietta and Mattie are in Perry jail.
