N. Means Prof. Frank N. Means died Tuesday night at the residence of his father Mr. Wm. Means, at Spoonville in this county. The cause of his death was typhoid dysentery, and he had been sick about three weeks. The burial will take place at the family cemetery. Prof. Means was about 33 years old, a most excellent man in every respect. He removed from Houston in 1881, and taught school at Eatonton. He then came to Fort Valley and taught in 1885, and from there he went to Butler. He was recently elected Principal of the College at Jonesboro, and was under contract to teach there. He was very successful as a teacher, and had already won a position in the front rank of his chosen profession. He was eminently a gentleman and a scholar, whose death will fill with sorrow the hearts of his many friends throughout the country. He was truly held in high esteem by all who knew him. Besides the loving father and mother, a devoted wife and four children are rendered desolate by his death. Many other relatives share in the bereavement. The tender sympathies of many friends are with the sorrowing ones in their loss. A good man has gone to his reward.
