Miller was murdered at his home near Unadilla in Houston County by unknown parties, supposed to be Negroes, a few nights ago and his wife was knocked senseless by the same axe that killed the husband. Mr. Miller was 74 years old, but a successful farmer. He went to Hawkinsville the day before the murder to get change to pay off cotton pickers and had the money in the house. The murderers entered the house stealthily while the aged couple were sitting in front of the fire, and the bloody work was accomplished. Five hundred dollars are offered for the murderers and they will fare badly if caught.
