Personal Items

The many friends in this county of Mr. Jeff D. Houser, one of Fort Valley’s 
oldest and most respected citizens, will regret to learn of his death which 
occurred last Friday at his home in Fort Valley after an illness of several 
weeks.  For many years he was one of Fort Valley’s most prominent businessmen, 
running a large cotton warehouse and buying cotton on an extensive scale.  On 
account of failing health he had to retire from active business several months 
ago.
