Louise Bateman, a little girl four years of age and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Charles Bateman of Houston County, received burns Tuesday afternoon last that 
resulted in the death of the child on Wednesday morning.  The child’s clothing 
caught fire while attempting to kindle a fire in the Bateman home and while the 
mother was absent from the room.
