Houser, of Fort Valley Cuts Her Throat With A Razor Fort Valley was startled with a sensational report on Tuesday, July 31st by the announcement of the suicide of Mrs. W.L. Houser, the wife of one of the best known citizens of that community. About 6 o’clock on the above date, she and her husband were seated on the back porch of their home, when at her request, he went into the house to secure something she desired. As soon as he was out of sight, she went at once to the barn nearby, and taking a razor, cut her throat, severing both arteries and windpipe. He missed her, and going in search, found here near the point of death. Physicians were summoned but she soon expired. Mrs. Houser had been sick for a year, and was just recovering after treatment at John Hopkins’ hospital at Baltimore. The act was the result doubtless, of a temporary derangement of the mind.
