Peddicord, Sr. Yields To Death Angel The following from the Fort Valley Leader Tribune will be read with sincere regret by the friends and acquaintances in this section of Mr. W. Peddicord, Sr.: Fort Valley suffered a distinct loss in the death late Friday afternoon of Mr. Wallace Peddicord, Sr., at the family residence on Fairground Street. Mr. Peddicord has been in ill health for more than a year his condition has been recognized as serious for five months prior to his death, and he has bedridden for several weeks. Recently he had been taken to a hospital in Macon but nothing that the science of modern medicine could do seemed efficacious in stemming the malady that had fixed itself upon him. He died surrounded by his faithful and highly esteemed wife and his large family of children.
