At the residence of the bride's father, Dr. M. H. Means, in this county, on the 25th of October last, Mr. Andrew A. Smoak and Miss Alice Means were united in wedlock. The groom is one of Houston's most industrious and through-going young men. By dint (?) of energy and perseverence he has achieved marked success as a farmer, and is highly respected as a citizen. The bride is young and beautiful, beloved by all who know her. She will carry to her new home all the graces of head and heart that are necessary to make her new sphere attractive and happy. To them both we extend warm congratulations, and bespeak a future full of light, hope and love.
