Married

At the residence of the groom’s parents at Mitchellville, Manatee County, Fla. 
on Sunday July 15th Mr. George Briggs to Miss Mollie Childers; the pastor of 
the Baptist church officiating.

The bride has many friends in this section who will be pleased to learn of her 
marriage.  About two years ago she left Fort Valley in company with a lady 
friend and has since made her home in Manatee, Fla., where she has been well 
pleased and has met with success.  She is an industrious and deserving young 
lady.  Mr. Briggs is a persevering and enterprising young gentleman – the only 
son of an honored father and mother.  He has a comfortable home for his bride 
and one of the best orange groves in Florida.  We congratulate him on his wise 
selection of a lady who has the experience and affection to make home 
comfortable and happy.  May their pathway through life be pleasant and ever 
strewn with the brightest roses of the “Land of Flowers.”
