Married

At the residence of the bride’s brother, Dr. Bryant, near Perry, Houston county,
Ga., on Sunday evening last at 4 o’clock, Mr. John T. Hartley, of Butler, to
Mrs. Darah Stewart, of Houston county, Ga.  The happy couple arrived in our town
about dusk on yesterday evening after a long and wearisome ride by private
conveyance, when they were met and congratulated by many warm and kind-hearted
friends.  Mr. Hartley is one of our most enterprising merchants, and we are
informed that his bride is one of the most charming and intelligent ladies of
Houston county, and will prove an honor to our society.
