I Baldwin Gray of the county and State aforward, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, while have health and strength to do so. I make and furbish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills, by me, at any time heretofore make. And first I commit my soul to God who gave it, my body I desire to be buried in a manner suitable to my circumstances and condition. In my worldly Estate I dispose of as follows: Item 1st It is my wish and desire and so I devise that my Executor hereinafter named, pay all my just debts as soon as possible after my death. Item 2nd I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife, Leacy Gray all the property that I may die possessed of both real and personal and of whatever character it may consist of (after paying my debts). I give and bequeath the same to her, for and during her natural life, to have, use and enjoy the same as long as she may live, with the privilege of making any trade she may see cause to make, so far as the personal property is concerned. Item 3rd I give and bequeath to my son William J Gray at his mother’s death, all the property which may be left at her death, both real and personal and of whatever character it may consist of, Except the Household and Kitchen furniture. Which Household and Kitchen furniture I want divided equally between my said son William and my two daughters to wit: Josephine Sandefur and Mary Jane Parker. I give and bequeath the said property above mentioned (after the death of my Wife) to my Son William J Gray forever in fee simple, provided my said son outlive his mother. If he should depart this life before his mother bearing no child then and in that case, it is my will and desire that the property he would have been in possession of at the death of his mother as above provided be equally divided between my daughter Josephine Sandefur and Mary Jane Parker to share and share alike. Item 4th I constitute and offered my Son William J Gray, Executor to this my last Will and Testament, and it is my wish and desire that my said son William live with and take care of his mother as long as she may live and make her as comfortable as he can and circumstances will admit of. In witness whereof I the said Baldwin Gray to this my will have set my hand and seal, this the 11th day of October 1876.
