I WILLIAM WIGGINS of the county and state aforesaid, being of sound mind and memory, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament----- First I (rec------) my body to this Earth, and my soul to God Who gave it, and my worldly estate, I dispose of in the following manner---- First my will and desire that all my just debts be paid, and the balance of any property to be divided as follows viz. Item. the first I give unto my beloved SALLY WIGGINS, during my natural life or widowhood, two Negoes (viz) RANDAL and HARRIET, my riding carriages to be at her disposal; at the death of my wife the said Randal to be sold & the money to be equally and the money to be equally divided between the lawful children of OSBORN WIGGINS and ALLEN WIGGINS; at the death of my wife, the above named negro girl Harriet to be the property of SARAH ANN WIGGINS---daughter of OSBORN WIGGINS--- I also give unto my wife, the stock of all kinds, one bed and the furniture (?) of all the beds, and also the kitchen furniture. Also one table, one slab, and one cupboard. also three notes of One Hundred dollars each, on one (---?). I also give to my daughter DICY ROSS, two negroes (to mis?) JOE and MARY, to her and her children forever--- Know all men, by these present, that I WILLIAM WIGGINS for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear to and for my son OSBORN WIGGINS also for and in consideration of Five Dollars, to me in hand paid, the receipt (--?--) is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, recognizes, unto the said OSBORN WIGGINS, the following property viz---Six negroes (to wit) MOSES, LUCY, GEORGE, LEWIS, TOM, BETTY, to have, and to hold, the said property above described to the said OSBORN WIGGINS, and the children , which he the said OSBORN WIGGINS may have at his death forever. In the event of his death, (--?--), any child or children, these the above named property to return to and belong to ALLEN WIGGINS, his brother or children. It is expressly understood that I am to retain the possesion of the said property, for and during my natural life. At my death the said OSBORN WIGGINS if in life, to have said property delivered to him: If he should depart this life without a lawful heir or heirs before me, then the property and immediate possesion of said negroes, to go to and be invested in the said ALLEN WIGGINS or his lawful child or children.
