Written: August 21, 1829 Recorded: August 21, 1829 Georgia George Walker II (Sr) born Brier Creek GA 11.14.1763 died 9.4.1830 Houston County Will and Testament In the name of God amen. I, George Walker of the state and county aforesaid do make and publish the following to be my last will and testament. Item. My desire is that my Executors herein after are my administrators as the case maybe, pay after? The proceeds of my Estate all my just debts. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Joel Walker his and his heirs forever the following property and negro slaves viz? 400 + 4 acres of land more or less being lots number 193+194 in the 24th district of formerly Wilkinson County now Pulaski where in the said Joel Walker now lives. Also to the said Joel I will and bequeath 4 Negro slaves viz, Yellow Isaac, Little Sam and Vincy? together with her issue? (son?) of Jacob and one feather bed and furniture and one horse saddle and bridle. Item. At my decease I give and bequeath to my son George Walker and his heirs forever 200 + 2.5 acres, 90 are lying in Pulaski County formerly Wilkinson County where on the said George now lives, also I give and bequeath as aforesaid to my said son George the following negroes viz Big John, William, Abraham and Ester and also a horse saddle, bridle, one featherbed and furniture and wearing watch Item. At my decease as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my son David Walker and his heirs forever two squares of land in Pulaski County containing 400 + 4 acres more or less and known as lots number 172 and 192 in the 24th district of formerly Wilkinson County. Also the following negros Little Sandy, Isham, Hannah and her son Ben? And Timsy? And also one horse saddle and bridle, and featherbed and furniture Item. At my decease I give and bequeath to my son Charles Walker 257 + one half acre more or less lying and being in the 24th district of formerly Wilkinson County now Pulaski County known as lot number 201 and part of lot number 200 and also 104 acres of land being in the eastern half of lot number 220 in said 24h district of formerly Wilkerson county now Pulaski county and also the following Negros viz, Isaac, Ellick, Mariah and her issue Ana? Anthony and one horse saddle, bridle and one featherbed and furniture to have and to hold to the said Charles and his heirs forever. Item. At my decease as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my daughter Betsey Martin and her heirs forever the following negroes viz Berry, Amy, Larry and Jimmy also Netty and Amy and their issue? also one horse saddle, bridle one featherbed and furniture. Item. At my decease as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Walker and his heirs forever, 300 + 3.25 acres lying in the 24th district of formerly Wilkinson County now Pulaski and known as lot number 202 + western half of lot number 220 in said district also one other square of land containing 202.5 acres more or less being lot number 217 in the said district now Twiggs county also the following negroes viz, Dick and his blacksmithing tools, Atticus, Silva and her issue And Seifia? and Washington also one horse bridle, saddle one featherbed and furniture. Item. At my decease as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca Dennard and her heirs forever the following negroes viz, Hazzard, Sauney, Harriett, Chaney and their ipuc? also one horse saddle, bridle one featherbed and furniture. Item. At my decease as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally Fuller and her heirs forever the following property viz Stephen, Biles? and her three children, Chloey, Fanny and Diner also Big Fanny also one square of land lying in the county of Houston containing 202.5 acres more or less and known as lot number 189 in the 10th district of said county also one horse saddle, bridle one featherbed and furniture. Item. I give and bequeath to George Walker Bryan, Mary Ester Bryan, Emmily Antoinette Bryan three negro slaves viz Henry, Wilson and Nancy + 1200 dollars to the said George Walker Bryan, Mary Ester Bryan and Emmily Antoinette Bryan to their and their heirs forever. To be equally divided when the eldest is of age or sooner in case of marriage said property to be kept in the hands of the Executors or administrators as the case maybe until the eldest of them is of age, married as before stated and said George Walker Bryan, Mary Ester Bryan and Emmily Antoinette Bryan is to have by my will and cursor? No further interest in any of my said estate. Item. It is my wish and desire that my faithful old servant Sam and Lucy shall have their manual freedom And not be compelled to move off the plantation where as my son Joel may reside but remain under the immediate protection my said son Joel who is hereby expressly requested and solicited to support and protect them according to my desire. Item. It is my will and desire that my beloved wife Bestey Walker shall have the free use of and any upay? Profits arising from the labor and services of the following negro slaves during her natural life and at her death to be at her given disposal that is to say the following negros their increase and the profits arising thereafter are viz. Big Sandy and Dick his wife and Pampey? Also all the household and kitchen not before the bequeathed to be infeed? And disposed of by her as aforesaid also that during her natural life she have and infay? The use and benefits arising from the four squares of land comprising the plantation in the 10th district of Houston County wherein I now together with all the appertinances there to belonging in common with twelve of my minor children unmarried by choice to remain and live with their mother during her natural life and I further will to my wife a negro girl Ester to have during natural lifetime to dispose of at her decease in any way she may wish. Item. It is my will and desire that all my remaining negros not herein bequeathed together with all my stock of barn? Hogs and cattle, plantation utensils and growing crop shall remain with and be held by my wife Betsy Walker during her natural life and that all the proceeds and profits arising from the labor of said negros shall be entirety at the disposal of my said wife and at her death the said negroes to be equally divided amongst my children in this last will and testament before named but if any or either of my said children should die before my said wife issue there at the oath? Of my said wife the portion which would have gone to such deceased child shall be inherited by his or her issue Item. It is further my will and pleasure that all my lands not herein shall be equally divided amongst all my children, but if any of my said children should depart this life having issue then the issue of said child should inherit and receive the same portion of the said lands which my said deceased? Child would have received had he or her lived. Item. It is my will and desire at the death of my wife Betsey Walker that my son, Thomas Walker shall have the plantation wherein I now live known by number 158, 163,162,191 all in the 10th district of Houston County. And I do herby nominate and appoint my four sons, Joel, George, David, Charles executors of to this my last will and testament and hereby revoking, cancelling and amending all wills before this time by me.
