Signed, sealed and acknowledged in open Court: (Signatures of Thompson N Statham, Wm Winderweedle, Geo Paulk) Additional Comments: As far as I can tell, Nathaniel Statham and his son, Thompson Nathaniel, lived continuously in Irwin County from at least 1820. They both relocated temporarily to Stewart County, probably something to do with Nathaniel's Revolutionary War pension application, and were there for the 1840 census. Thompson Nathaniel was back in Irwin for the 1850 though I never found Nathaniel in either or any county, so it's probable he was simply missed. Judging from the date of the administration records, Nathaniel probably died in late 1852 or early 1853. The fact that an administrator was named indicates that he died intestate. Nathaniel was born ca 1762 in Virginia, son of John Statham, who died in Elbert County, Georgia, in 1823; and Susannah Thomson Statham, who probably died between 1820 and 1823. Susannah Thomson was the daughter of Robert Thomson, who died in Albemarle County, Virginia, in 1778. Nathaniel's grandfather was Love Statham, who died in Louisa County, Virginia, in 1781, and his grandmother was Martha (LNU).
