This indenture made 19th February 1852 between Hardy McGlown Senior of said 
county and state of the one part and David G McGlown grandson of the said Hardy 
McGlown Senior . . in consideration of the natural love & affection which he 
has & bears to his grandson David McGlown . . .tract or parsel of land in the 
3rd District of Irwin county No. 23 containing 490 acres mor or less originally 
granted to Sarah Thompson said grant being dated the 5th January 1850 and also 
one Negro boy by the name of Lewis about 7 years old in June next and also 7 
head of stock cattle    Hardy (X-his mark)McGlown
In the presence of

Note: The within and before mentioned deed of gift stands as it was til the 
death of Hardy McGlown and his wife then David G McGlown to have the effects of 
the deed of gift. (same signatures as above)
