Ocilla Star - December 7, 2004
 Grace Griffin-December 7, 2004, Grace Griffin, 76, of Ocilla, Ga, died 
Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at the Irwin Co. Hospital.
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Paulk 
Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla, with the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating. 
Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 
at the funeral home in Ocilla from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening.
  Mrs. Griffin was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Irwin Co., GA to the late Osie and 
Elda Whitley Giddens. She was a 1946 graduate of Irwin Co. High School in 
Mystic, where she played basketball. Mrs. Griffin was a former Activities 
Director and Certified Nurses Assistant at Pleamon Gaskins Nursing Home. She 
was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Irwin Co., She was a devoted wife, 
mother and grandmother.
  Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughter & son in law: Nancy and Howard 
Mitchell, Ocilla; sons & daughters in law: Jerry W. and Mary Griffin, Ocilla, 
Robert L. and Becky Griffin, Fitzgerald and Marty D. Griffin, Ocilla; eleven 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Franklin Giddens, 
Nashville, GA and one sister, Louise Harper, Orlando, FL. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, W. O. Griffin, a daughter, Emily Jane Griffin, two 
brothers, and two sisters.
