 Rev. Delmar Handley, 70, of Rochelle died August 31, 2004 at Dorminey Medical 
Center in Fitzgerald.

 Born October 3, 1933 in Irwin County to the late George Leonard and Effie 
Tucker Handley, he was a member and associate minister emeritus of First 
Baptist Church of Rochelle. Formerly a heavy equipment operator, Rev. Handley 
has been a minister of the Gospel since 1965.

 Survivors include his wife, Betty Handley of Rochelle; children, Debbie 
Pollard of Puyallup, WA, Rick Handley, Kay Cruz, Sharon McCrimmon and Mike 
Handley, all of Fitzgerald; two sisters, Jerell Morgan of Ocilla and Shelby 
Ritch of Dublin; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Local relation 
includes a nephew, Darrell Handley of Nashville.

 Funeral services were held Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of 
Rochelle with the Revs. Jay Moore, Jim Wiley and Brad Sanders officiating.

 Interment was in Frank Cemetery in Irwin County.

 Paulk Funeral Home of Fitzgerald was in charge of arrangements.
