 Mrs. Elaine Harper Knight, age 65, of Ocilla , GA, passed on Friday, January 3, 
2014, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Knight was born on August 
15, 1948, in Ocilla, GA, to the late Robert Harper and Edna Wall Harper.
 Survivors include her husband, Jimmy L. Knight, Sr. of Douglas, GA, daughter, 
Dr. Alana Kent of Ellijay, GA, son, Jimmy Lee Knight, Jr. of Ocilla, GA; two 
grandsons, Nicholas James Kent and Harvey Lee Kent III, step grandchildren, 
Amanda Burdette and Alex Burdette; sister, Bobby D. Rogers, of Douglas, GA; 
several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Lee 
Knight and a sister, Thelma Lewis.
 Funeral service was held on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Pinetta 
Baptist Church with Rev. David Barton officiating.
 interment followed at Spring Hill Church Cemetery.
 Music was furnished for the service by Rev. David Barton "Old Rugged Cross," 
"The Light House," and "How Great Thou Art" with David Sumner playing the piano.
 Active pallbearers were Raymond Nipper, Johnny Knight, Junior Bradford, Lee 
Kent, Eugene Culpepper, Ray Nipper.
 Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
