 Mary Norris Luke, 90, of Fitzgerald died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at her 
residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Paulk Funeral 
Home Chapel with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. A eulogy will be given by 
Phoebe Harris. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
 Mrs. Luke was born July 23, 1918 in Ben Hill County to the late John Bunyon 
and Rosa Bell Roberts Norris. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death 
by her husband, William Henry "Bill" Luke, son, Billy Luke; six brothers and 
six sisters.
 She lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Luke was a homemaker and a 
Certified Nurse's Assistant and she sat with the elderly. She was a member of 
Arbor Baptist Church. Mrs. Luke was an avid gardener and a loving wife, mother 
and grandmother.
 Mrs. Luke is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Ernest 
Yarbrough of Fitzgerald, Sue Williams of Cordele and Janice Pitts and Devon 
Soles of Tifton; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-
great-grandchild.
 Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald is in charge of arrangements.
