Edna L.Woods
The funeral service for Edna Lucille Wood of Fitzgerald, who died 
Friday, January 30, 1998 at Dorminy Medical Center, was held Sunday, 
February 1 at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. She was 72.
Rev. Thomas Rash officiated at the 4:00 p.m. service with interment in 
Evergreen Cemetery.
Pianist was Gail Rash and singers were Rev. Thomas Rash, Gail Rash and 
Krista Rash.
Pallbearers were Bill Wilson, Johnny Poole, Jerry Poole, Kalvin Risher, 
Gary Graham, Kenny Ray Davis, James Cravey, Kenny Risher  and Ken 
Risher, Jr.
The deceased was born April 19, 1925 in Dodge County, GA to William 
Howard and Mallie Lee Jones Poole. A retired LPN of Northeast Georgia 
Medical Center in Gainesville and a member of Church of Nazarene, Mrs. 
Wood had lived in Fitzgerald since 1994.
She is survived by husband, Thomas E. "Tommy" Wood of Fitzgerald; one 
son: Wayne "Sparkey" Spires of Ocilla; two daughters: Brendia McKeag 
and, Chris Rockwell, both of Warner Robins; one brother: J. W. Poole of 
Fitzgerald; five sisters: Bernice Graham of Alma, Pauline Griffin, 
Myrtice Wilson, Arlane Davis, and Annette Reeves, all of Fitzgerald; 9 
grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Paulk Funeral Home was in  charge of arrangements.
