Eula Walker

The funeral service for Eula Hancock Walker of Ocilla, who died 
Wednesday, April 16, 1997 at Osceola Nursing Home, was held Friday, 
April 18 at Vickers Church in Berrien county. She was 81.
 Rev. Joe Vaughn and Rev.Jerry Wilson officiated at the
4:00 p.m. service with interment in the church cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Billy Hancock, Robert Stripling, Leroy
Hancock, Keith Dawson, Larry Daughtery, Roy Hancock, David Ray, Bobby 
Albritton. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Hancock, Jimmy Hancock, 
Jerry Hancock,Ronald Griner Jimmy Richardson,G.W.Pearman and Larry 
Linsenly. Pianist was Linda Hall; singers Carl Pafford and Phyllis Boyd.
 The deceased was born February 24, 1916 in Berrien
county to Jessie R. and Mary Barber Rutherford. A retired seamstress of 
Irwin Mfg. in Ocilla and member of Vickers Holiness Baptist Church, 
Mrs.Walker had lived in Irwin county most of her life. She was a former 
employee of Jaco Pants Factory in Ashburn.
 She is survived by husband,Marlie L. Walker of Ocilla; two sons: Leroy 
Hancock of Pinellas Park, FL and J. B. Hancock of Irwinville; three 
daughters:Frances Stripling of Irwinville,Margaret Albritton of Macon 
and Shirley Sumner of Tifton;four sisters: Gladys Bryant of
Tifton, Vera Crawford, Thelma Richardson, and Mary Neil
Porter, all of Nashville; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grand-children and 
1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Charlie
Clowers Hancock; 2 brothers:Leon and Clarence Rutherford;one sister: 
Ludell Walker.
 Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
