He was 96. . Mr. Crouch was born February 19, 1902, in Meriwether County. He was former owner and operator of Crouch Dry Cleaners, Ocilla and he was a farmer. Mr. Crouch had a woodworking hobby that he called Frank's Little Ministry. He made items from wood to give to his friends. Mr. Crouch had lived in Ocilla most of his life. He was Deacon ,Emeritus of Ocilla Baptist Church and a Sunday School teacher, Mr. Crouch was an active Boy Scout leader, receiving the Silver Beaver Award and the Outstanding Leader Award. He was a former . member of the Board of Directors, Irwin County Federal Savings and Loan Association. Mr. Crouch also taught preschoo1at the Ocilla Baptist and Ocilla Methodist Churches. He also worked with the Farm Security Administration in Irwinville and later in Donalsonville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Crouch. Survivors include one daughter Sue Woodard of Sanford, FL; one grandson, Steve Woodard of Gainesville, FL; two great grandchildren, Jessy Woodard and Jacob Woodard; both of Gainesvi1le, FL; ,three brothers, Thomas Crouch, Jr. of Decatur; Col. Louis Crouch of Scottsboro, AL, and Clark Crouch of Bonaire; several nieces, and nephews. Services were held at Ocilla Baptist Church, Wednesday, August 19, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jesse Alligood, Dr. Phil Wilkes, Ed Green, Murphey Rogers and Burns Willis officiating . Music was provided by pianist, Marilyn Dove and a congregational hymn led by Richard Cargile. Pallbearers were Herman Dove, Kermit Elliott, John Roland, Pat Ashley, L. H. Dill, Walter Tyler, David McCranie, Bruce Daniels, Danny Paulk, Richard Williamson and Russell Collins. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Ocilla Baptist . Church, Carrie Paulk Sunday School Class, Ocilla Lions Club, Howard Jordan, Ed Norton, Billy Sams and Clauye McCranie.
