Albert Whitley

The funeral service for Albert Whitley of Ocilla, who died Tuesday, 
January 20, 1998 at Osceola Nursing Home, was held Wednesday, January 21 
at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla. He was 92.
Rev. Charles Nichols and Elder Robert Oates officiated at the 4:00 p.m. 
service with interment in Brushy Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Whitley, Al Whitley, Jason Parks, David DeBerry, 
Joe Portier, and Jay Whitley.
The deceased was born August 6, 1905 in Irwin County to George and 
Rachel Sutton Whitley. A retired carpenter of Fuller Lumber Co. in 
Ocilla and member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, Mr. Whitley had lived in 
the community all his life.
He is survived by wife, Myrtice Paulk Whitley of Ocilla; four sons: 
Carlton Whitley, Marvin Whitley, Billy Whitley, and Bobby Whitley, all 
of Ocilla; one daughter: Dorothy Kelley of Ocilla; one sister: Martha W. 
Dunn of Sawford, FL; 2 grandsons and 4 great grandsons.
Paulk Funeral Home was charge of arrangements.
