She was 75. Rev. Howard Kitchens, Rev. Talmadge Wilcox, Rev. Bobby Richey, and Rev. Jerry Wilson officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service with interment in Abba Cemetery in Ben Hill County. Pallbearers were Michael Branam, Jimmy Branam, Cory Gibbs, J. Quinton Branam, Gary Branam, and Larry Grimes. Music was furnished by Wanda Ash and Pat Zorn. The deceased was born January 13, 1923 in Irwin County to R. E. L. Bob and Precious Newsome Branam. A homemaker and member of Abba Baptist Church, Mrs. Taylor had lived in Irwin County most of her life. She was a former member of the Abba softball team and Woodmen of the World. An avid seamstress and crocheter, Mrs. Taylor attended New Tapley School in Irwin County. She is survived by husband, J. D. Taylor of Irwin County; one daughter: Mary Frances Walker of Fitzgerald; four brothers: D. C. Branam of Palatka, FL, Edwin Branam and John Robert Branam, both of the Abba Community, and Reuben "Bud" Branam of Fitzgerald; two sisters: Delia Williamson of the Abba Community and Lizzie Mae Richey of the Salem Community; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
