Alda P. Walters

 Mrs. Alda Paulk Walters, 95, of Ocilla, passed away Wednesday,February 19, 
1997 at Palemon Gaskins Nursing Home.
 Mrs. Walters was born January 25, 1902 in Irwin county, GA and had lived in 
Irwin county all of her life. She was the daughter of George L. and Blannie 
Sutton Paulk.
 She was a homemaker and was a member of Holt Baptist Church in Irwin county. 
She was a member of the Women's Missionary Union at Holt Baptist Church and the 
Ocilla Garden Club.
 Survivors include two sons,Lorie Walters and W. Emery Walters, both of Ocilla; 
four daughters, Lullene Hancock of Nashville, Myrtle Meeks of Albany,June Smith 
of Lyons and Joyce Smith of Cordele; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren 
and a number of nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held Friday, February 21, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at Holt 
Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Couey and Rev. Phil Wilkes officiating.
 Sue Wilkes provided the musical accompaniment.
 Interment followed at Holt Cemetery in Irwin county.
 Pallbearers were Rudy Hancock,Rodney Hancock, Randy Hancock,Eddy Meeks, 
Wyndall Walters,Wesley Walters, Willis NeSmith,Jeffery L. Smith and C. Vinson
Walters.
 Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
