Brushy Creek Rites For Mrs. Roberts

  Funeral services were held Friday, September 1 at Brushy Creek Church at 4 p. 
m. for Mrs. John G. Roberts who died August 30 at the Irwin County Hospital.
  Elder Chandler Register officiated and burial was in the Brushy Creek 
Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were Clarance Gray, Billy Ray Vickers, Calvin Lankford, Quinton 
Slaughter, Edwin Durden, Coy Paulk, Frank L. Paulk and Hubert Jernigan
  Mrs Roberts was born August 1, 1896 to the late James J. and Helen Wilcox 
Paulk. She was married to John G. Roberts who preceeded her in death and she 
had lived in the community all her life.
  Survivors include a daughter Mrs James W. Paulk of Ocilla; a granddaughter, 
Mrs. William H. Bostick of Ocilla; A Sister Mrs. Ruby Spell of Brunswick and 
two great grandchildren.
  Paulk Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
