He was 61. Mr. Campbell was born May 28, 1936 in Walker County, the son of Rev. Harvey and Ruby Tinker Campbell. He had lived in Ocilla since 1990 moving from Tifton. He was a former employee of RC. Bottling Co. and Weather King and was retired as a pest control operator with White Pest Control of Fitzgerald. He served in Korea with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Mystic. Survivors include his wife, Jerry T. Campbell of Ocilla; four sons, Billy Franklin Campbell of Ocilla, Billy Dale Campbell, David Campbell and Mark Campbell, all of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Tammy Sue Arnold of Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Edward CampbelI of Summerville and Ronny Campbell of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Doris Reed of Rock Springs, Jane Osborne of Suwanee and Brenda Campbell of LaFayette; his stepmother, Jackie Campbell of Ringold; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Rev. Derrell Hampton, Rev. Brent Duncan and Rev. John Thompson officiating. Marvin Paulk was the pianist and "The Changed Hearts" group, . consisting of Marvin, Brenda and Malinda Paulk sang. Pallbearers were Hugh Parten, Jerry Camp, Emerson Barker, Marty Pope, Timmy Slaughter,Frankie Spurlock and Mack Perry. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. File size: 2.0 Kb
