                 Final Rites Friday For John H. Roberts
 John H. Roberts, 69 of Ocilla, died in Irwin County Hospital Thursday morning, 
December 5, 1963, after a long illness.
 A lifetime resident of Irwin County, a retired taxi operator and employee of 
the County Farm, he was the son of William and Frances Roberts.
 His wife, the former Maude Barrs, had preceded in in death.
 Funeral rites were held from Old Valley Grove Church Friday at 11am with Elder 
Ashely Griffin officiating. Interment was in Old Valley Grove Cemetery.
 His survivors are three sons, Plemon Roberts of Pensacola, Fla. Haywood 
Roberts of Miami, Fla., and Marvin Roberts of Fitzgerald; five grandchildren; 
and two great grandchildren.
 Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
John was born 14 Feb 1894 to William M. Roberts and Frances Grantham Roberts 
who are both buried in New Valley Grove Cemetery.
