The Ocilla Star June 21, 2000	

  Mrs. Ella Mae Jowers Tucker of Ocilla died Saturday June 17, 2000, at Palemon 
Gaskins Nursing Home of Ocilla. She was 89.

 Mrs. Tucker was born May 6, 1911, in Atkinson Co., the daughter of Hulda Rowe 
Jowers and Avner Jowers.

 A homemaker, Mrs. Tucker had lived in Irwin Co. since 1961 from Berrien Co. 
She was raised by her step mother, Osie Skipper Jowers. Mrs. Tucker was a 
member of Ocilla Baptist Church.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Pearlie Tucker; one brother, 
four sisters; three sons, Eulas Tucker, Burnell Tucker and Winston Tucker.

 Survivors include three sons, Sherrill Tucker of Ambrose, Jack Tucker of Macon 
and Emory Tucker of Walls, Ms; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 
seven great great grandchildren.

 Services were held at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel of Ocilla on Sunday, June 18 
at 4 p.m. with Elder Jerry Barrs officiating.

 Music was provided by the trio, Jan Smith, Ann Ticker and Russell Collins.

 Interment was held at Rowe Cemetery in Atkinson Co., GA.

 Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
