Cammon - Middle fork of the Oconee River 1793, July 3 --- This Indenture made between James M. Cammon of Wilkes County, Georgia of the one part unto Charles Dougherty of Green County, Georgia of the other part, for and in consideration of the sum of 90 pounds lawful money of the State and by these presents do fully bargain, grant, sell and confirm all that tract or parcel of land lying on the Middle fork of the Oconee River containing 690 acres beginning at a white oak corner, thence on George M. Fall line S60 W108 chains pine corner, thence N30 W38 chains white oak corner , thence on land unknown N10 E83 chains ____corner on the river, thence down the meanders of the river to the beginning, as will more fully appear to a plat annexed to a Grant for the same in the name of James M. Cammon, dated December 31, 1787. Witnesses: s/ James M.
