Camp of the one part unto Washington Camp of the other part, both of Jackson County. For and in consideration of the sum of $600 dollars hath bargained, sold and conveyed all that parcel of land lying on the Middle River of the Oconee containing 300 acres bounding as follows, Viz, Beginning on the river at the shoals below the mouth of Horge [sp] Creek on a red oak now dead near hickory corner running north 30 degrees east along Huit’s [sp] line 54 chains to a pine corner now dead, from thence N60W 54 chains to a pine corner now dead, from thence S30W along Henry Walker’s line 54 chains to a hickory corner on the Oconee River near Wood’s Bridge thence down said River as it meanders to the place of beginning at the shoals and being half of a 600 acre tract of land granted to Joseph McCutchen, April 3, 1794.
