Oconee River-”Indian Cabins”

1795, June 9 --- This Indenture made between Rusel Jones and Sarah his wife of
Oglethorpe County, Georgia of the one part and Robert Parks, for and in
consideration of the sum of 100 pounds lawful money of the State and by these
presents do fully bargain, grant, sell and confirm all that tract or parcel
lying in the County of Franklin on the Oconee River known by the name of the
Indian Cabins containing 287 ½ acres beginning at Waleghoo Corner on the river,
thence N70 E50 chains & 61 links on Popes line to a dogwood corner, thence S20
E53 chains & 61 links on vacant land to a hickory corner, thence S70 W53 chains
61 links on vacant land to a pine corner, thence N20 W26 chains on vacant land
to a hickory station on the said River, thence up the meanders of the same to
the beginning, as may more fully appear to a plat annexed to a grant of the same
in the name of John Linch, dated the 15th day of November 1785.
