Jeremiah Matthews-South fork of the Oconee River

1796, July 28---This Indenture made between Jeremiah Matthews and Sarah his wife
of Oglethorpe County Georgia of the one part unto Elijah Hendon of the other
part for and in consideration of the sum of $200 dollars upon delivery of these
presents hath granted, bargained sold unto the said Elijah Hendon and do by
these presents grant, bargain, sell and confirm a certain tract or parcel of
land lying and being on the South fork of the Oconee River (Middle fork)
containing 300 acres and more fully appear to a plat annexed to a grant giving
to Charles Dougherty signed by the Governor in Council the 31st day of December
1787.
